GreenHaven Initiative

Creating patches of greenery and fruit-bearing plants for environmental and community benefit

Industrial Factory

"According to recent researches India's per capita CO2 emission is 2.9 metric ton (i.e. 2900 kg) and its growing high with development. Trees are the most efficient value for money way to offset CO2 emission, as a single average full-fledged tree extinguish 21 kg of CO2 per year"

Construction of Smart Cities, Industrialisation, Nuclear Energy based power plants, ports, airports, sky scrapers etc. is what we see around us daily. Of Course, all these changes contributed in making our life style better in many ways. But, while making changes in our life style we are unable to see that we are highly contributing towards destruction too, as we never thought of giving back responsibly what we have taken from our mother nature. This irresponsible attitude of just consuming the resources without ever trying to replenish them, contributed to destruction and this destruction has certainly surpassed all other benefits of our partial development.

It's high time for us to take step to turn ourselves from irresponsible individuals to responsible human beings. Though certainly we can't replenish all or can't be a great producer of what we have consumed till now, but what we can surely do is, to conserve what we are still left with, and try to replenish whatever we can. All it needs is strong persistence and just a little contribution by all.

Adopting, Growing or Contributing for a tree is certainly the most simple and efficient way to ensure your first step towards contribution for conservation.

What we do

Nurturing Nature and Ensuring Food Security for a Greener Tomorrow.

01

Sustainable Farming

With "Bring Back My Farm," the promoters aim to honour our elders' vision by reintroducing green spaces into the city, focusing on small parcels of land that we own within city limits, rather than developing vast concrete jungles.

Our goals include practicing healthy crop rotation, encouraging rainwater harvesting, efficiently utilizing local water resources, and carefully selecting produce varieties that thrive and taste delicious. By integrating sustainable practices, we ensure a greener and healthier environment for all.

03

Backyard/Rooftop Gardens

We have our own home garden - a personal sanctuary where we cultivate a variety of plants, fruits, and vegetables, bringing nature's beauty and bounty right to our doorstep.

Gardening not only provides access to nutritious, home-grown food but also enhances mental well-being, supports environmental sustainability, and adds aesthetic value to your surroundings.

We inspired others to embrace backyard and terrace gardening, We helped cultivate a community of gardeners dedicated to sustainability and a healthier lifestyle.

02

Clean Green Neighbourhoods

To live in a cleaner and nicer world, our efforts must start locally. By keeping our homes and surroundings neat and tidy, we set an example for others to follow. Together with friends and neighbours, we can enhance the beauty of our community.

In every neighbourhood we've lived in, we've made it a point to plant and protect as many trees, ideally fruit/vegetable trees and plants as possible. Our collective efforts not only beautify our surroundings but also contribute significantly to the well-being of our planet.

04

Promoting Food Security

We gift fruit, vegetable, and spice plant saplings to blood donors, acknowledging their life-saving contributions while promoting food security.

These saplings, once planted and nurtured, will yield fresh produce, offering a sustainable source of nutritious food. This initiative not only strengthens community bonds but also encourages self-sufficiency and environmental stewardship.

This effort helps reduce hunger by ensuring access to nutritious food for anyone in need.
